Rep. Aaron Kaufer is set to co-host a Community e-Recycling Event on October 26 in Forty Fort, Luzerne County. The event, organized in collaboration with the West Side Council of Governments, will take place from 3-6 p.m. at the soccer fields of the Luzerne County Sports Complex on Camryn Way.

Residents wishing to participate must preregister and purchase a $35 tag at one of several local municipalities. This fee covers cars, trucks, SUVs, or commercial vehicles under ¾ ton and includes one TV or computer monitor. Additional TVs or monitors require an extra tag costing $30 each.

Participating municipalities include Edwardsville, Exeter, Forty Fort, Kingston, Larksville, Swoyersville, West Pittston, West Wyoming, and Wyoming. Each municipality has its own contact details for registration.

Accepted electronics for recycling are extensive and range from answering machines to Xboxes. However, damaged TVs or monitors with cracked screens will not be accepted.

For further details about the event or other state-related inquiries, residents can contact Kaufer’s district office in Luzerne or visit his website and Facebook page.
