Pennyslvania State Senate District 20 issued the following announcement on April 3.
A portion of economic stimulus legislation recently passed by Congress is intended to help businesses and workers alike, according to Senator John R. Gordner (R-27).
The Paycheck Protection Program is intended to offer a financial incentive to small businesses to keep employees on their payrolls during this tough economic time. A significant portion of these low-interest loans will be converted into a grant if the employer keeps employees on their payroll and the money is used for payroll, rent, mortgage interest or utilities.
Applications will be accepted from April 3, 2020 through June 30, 2020 via Small Business Administration lenders in the state.

“I applaud President Donald Trump and Congress for passing this essential stimulus package,” said Senator Gordner. “I encourage small businesses to apply for this program and use it as a lifeline through these rough economic times as a result of the COVID-19 crisis.”
Further, the Bucknell University Small Business Development Center is offering free Webinars to address various programs to assist small businesses. Topics include:
· Economic Injury Disaster Loan and Loan Advance Program
· Paycheck Protection Program
Free Webinars will be offered on April 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th at 9:00am.
