Rep. Alec Ryncavage has announced that Wright Township will receive funding from the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources' Community Conservation Partnerships Program (C2P2) for improvements to its recreation area. The funds, amounting to $145,000, are designated for upgrading the dek hockey court, constructing pedestrian walkways, improving ADA access, landscaping, and other related site enhancements.

"Wright Township Recreation Area is a staple for family fun and outdoor adventures – a true one-stop shop for families to make memories on the mountain," Ryncavage stated. "I’m incredibly grateful to see this funding come to our community."

The C2P2 grants aim to support conservation and recreation projects by municipalities and authorized nonprofit organizations. These projects include rehabilitating and developing parks and recreation facilities, acquiring land for park purposes, and planning various studies related to trails, conservation plans, site development planning, as well as comprehensive recreation and open space planning.
