Happy #WomensHistoryMonth! We’re celebrating all month long by featuring women making history at Wilkes. Today we’re spotlighting Gazelle Taherzadeh, assistant professor in the math, physics and computer science department:
What do you love about what you do here at Wilkes?
“Interacting with students and being part of the change we wish to see in our society.”
What advice would you give a woman just starting in your field?
“As a woman of color, immigrant, and member of the STEM community, I always encourage young girls and women to be independent, dream big, and work hard for it. I also would like to take this opportunity to celebrate all our achievements in having equal rights and wish all the self-advocate women around the world success, and happiness, especially Iranian women leading the "Women, Life, Freedom" movement/revolution nowadays. Thanks again and happy women's day.”
