State Representative Dane Watro and Senator Dave Argall are scheduled to present a $250,000 grant check to East Union Township. The funding comes from the Statewide Local Share Account and will be used to help cover the costs of building a new township building and public works garage.

The presentation will take place on Thursday, February 26 at 8:15 a.m. at the East Union Township Municipal Building located at 10 E. Elm St., Sheppton, Pennsylvania.

According to the announcement, “Presentation of a $250,000 Statewide Local Share Account check to East Union Township to assist with the costs of constructing a new township building and public works garage.” Representative Dane Watro (R-Luzerne/Schuylkill) and Senator Dave Argall (R-29) will participate in the event.

The Statewide Local Share Account provides grants for community projects such as municipal buildings and infrastructure improvements across Pennsylvania.
