On Tuesday, April 22, former Hazleton Area High School standout Makenna Balay’s current college team, the Kutztown Golden Bears, won 2-0 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Shepherd Rams.
The game took place at North Campus Field. This was their third matchup against the Rams this season.
The Golden Bears’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 22 at 3 p.m. at North Campus Field against Shepherd Rams.

State Representative Dane Watro (R-Luzerne/Schuylkill) and Senator Dave Argall (R-29) have announced that $500,000 in grants from the Pennsylvania Small Water and Sewer Program will be allocated to several municipalities in Schuylkill County.
