On Tuesday, April 1, former Hazleton Area High School standout Gianna Gombeda’s current college team, the Bloomsburg Huskies, won 7-2 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Lock Haven Bald Eagles.
The game took place at Lawrence Field. This was their first matchup against the Bald Eagles this season.
The Huskies’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 1 at 4 p.m. at Lawrence Field against Lock Haven Bald Eagles.
More than $1.6 million in state transportation funding will be distributed to four municipalities in Pike and Wayne counties, according to an announcement from Sen.
State Representative Dane Watro (R-Luzerne/Schuylkill) and Senator Dave Argall (R-29) have announced that $500,000 in grants from the Pennsylvania Small Water and Sewer Program will be allocated to several municipalities in Schuylkill County.
