Rep. Alec Ryncavage, a Republican representing Luzerne County, released a statement addressing an act of vandalism at his district office located in Nanticoke. According to Ryncavage, an "unidentified male attempted to ignite and throw two firebomb-like devices" at the property.
The district office is part of a complex that includes a family-owned pharmacy and physical therapy office, as well as residential neighbors. Ryncavage expressed concern for the "constituents, my staff, and the community," and noted the potentially serious consequences of such actions. He was relieved that "thankfully, no one was injured."
Ryncavage extended his gratitude to local law enforcement for their prompt response to the incident. He stated, "I want to thank the Nanticoke Police Department, Pennsylvania State Police, and District Attorney Sam Sanguedolce for their work on this case, and I hope it’s an isolated incident."
He encouraged anyone with information about the vandalism to contact the Nanticoke Police Department at the provided phone number.
