86 percent of applicants to Pennsylvania State University-Penn State Wilkes-Barre were admitted for fall 2018

At Pennsylvania State University-Penn State Wilkes-Barre, 86 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 71 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Lehman enrolled 438 students in fall 2018, including 429 in undergraduate and nine in graduate programs, data shows. 8.2 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

97 percent of undergraduates are residents of Pennsylvania, and 3 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (84 percent) and Black or African American (5 percent).

The school admitted 86 percent of the 293 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 35 percent enrolled.
