On Saturday, March 29, former Hazleton Area High School standout Matt Shamany’s current college team, the Millersville Marauders, won 6-2 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Shippensburg Raiders.
The game took place at Fairchild Field. This was their fourth matchup against the Raiders this season.
The Marauders’ next game is scheduled for Thursday, April 3 at 1 p.m. at Cooper Park against Bloomsburg Huskies.

State Representative Dane Watro (R-Luzerne/Schuylkill) and Senator Dave Argall (R-29) have announced that $500,000 in grants from the Pennsylvania Small Water and Sewer Program will be allocated to several municipalities in Schuylkill County.
