On Saturday, April 12, former Greater Nanticoke Area Senior High School standout Luke Myers’ current college team, the Albany Great Danes, lost 11-3 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Maine Black Bears.
The game took place at Varsity Field. This was their second matchup against the Black Bears this season.
The Great Danes’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, April 13 at 1 p.m. at Varsity Field against Maine Black Bears.

State Representative Dane Watro (R-Luzerne/Schuylkill) and Senator Dave Argall (R-29) have announced that $500,000 in grants from the Pennsylvania Small Water and Sewer Program will be allocated to several municipalities in Schuylkill County.
