On Tuesday, March 25, former Pittston Area Senior High School standout Joe Stella’s current college team, the Tampa Spartans, won 10-4 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Saint Leo Lions.
The game took place at UT Baseball Field. This was their first matchup against the Lions this season.
The Spartans’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 28 at 6 p.m. at Henley Field against Florida Southern Moccasins.

State Representative Dane Watro (R-Luzerne/Schuylkill) and Senator Dave Argall (R-29) have announced that $500,000 in grants from the Pennsylvania Small Water and Sewer Program will be allocated to several municipalities in Schuylkill County.
