On Saturday, May 3, former Pittston Area Senior High School standout Joe Stella’s current college team, the Tampa Spartans, won 11-8 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Barry Buccaneers.
The game took place at Feinbloom Field. This was their second matchup against the Buccaneers this season.
The Spartans’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, May 3 at 7:40 p.m. at Feinbloom Field against Barry Buccaneers.

State Representative Dane Watro (R-Luzerne/Schuylkill) and Senator Dave Argall (R-29) have announced that $500,000 in grants from the Pennsylvania Small Water and Sewer Program will be allocated to several municipalities in Schuylkill County.
