On Tuesday, March 25, former Hazleton Area High School standout Makenna Balay’s current college team, the Kutztown Golden Bears, won 6-3 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the West Chester Golden Rams.
The game took place at WCU Softball field. This was their first matchup against the Golden Rams this season.
The Golden Bears’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25 at 3 p.m. at WCU Softball field against West Chester Golden Rams.

State Representative Dane Watro (R-Luzerne/Schuylkill) and Senator Dave Argall (R-29) have announced that $500,000 in grants from the Pennsylvania Small Water and Sewer Program will be allocated to several municipalities in Schuylkill County.
