On Thursday, May 1, former Hazleton Area High School standout Gianna Gombeda’s current college team, the Bloomsburg Huskies, lost 3-2 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Shepherd Rams.
The game took place at Veterans Park. This was their fifth matchup against the Rams this season.
The Huskies’ next game is scheduled for Thursday, May 8 at 12:45 p.m. at North Campus Field against Shepherd Rams.

State Representative Dane Watro (R-Luzerne/Schuylkill) and Senator Dave Argall (R-29) have announced that $500,000 in grants from the Pennsylvania Small Water and Sewer Program will be allocated to several municipalities in Schuylkill County.
