On Sunday, April 13, former Greater Nanticoke Area Senior High School standout Luke Myers’ current college team, the Albany Great Danes, lost 12-1 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Maine Black Bears.
The game took place at Varsity Field. This was their third matchup against the Black Bears this season.
The Great Danes’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15 at 3 p.m. at Varsity Field against Central Connecticut Blue Devils.

State Representative Dane Watro (R-Luzerne/Schuylkill) and Senator Dave Argall (R-29) have announced that $500,000 in grants from the Pennsylvania Small Water and Sewer Program will be allocated to several municipalities in Schuylkill County.
