On Wednesday, March 26, former Lake-Lehman Junior Senior High School standout Nicholas Finarelli’s current college team, the LIU Sharks, lost 12-1 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Monmouth Hawks.
The game took place at MU Baseball Field. This was their first matchup against the Hawks this season.
The Sharks’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 28 at 3 p.m. at Villanova Ballpark at Plymouth against Villanova Wildcats.
More than $1.6 million in state transportation funding will be distributed to four municipalities in Pike and Wayne counties, according to an announcement from Sen.
State Representative Dane Watro (R-Luzerne/Schuylkill) and Senator Dave Argall (R-29) have announced that $500,000 in grants from the Pennsylvania Small Water and Sewer Program will be allocated to several municipalities in Schuylkill County.
Senator Lisa Baker (R-20), along with Representatives Brenda Pugh (R-120) and Alec Ryncavage (R-119), announced that Luzerne County will receive over $2.5 million in state funding for infrastructure projects.
