On Saturday, April 5, former Lake-Lehman Junior Senior High School standout Nicholas Finarelli’s current college team, the LIU Sharks, won 11-3 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Mercyhurst Lakers.
The game took place at LIU Baseball Stadium. This was their third matchup against the Lakers this season.
The Sharks’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 11 at 3 p.m. at LIU Baseball Stadium against Fairleigh Dickinson Knights.

State Representative Dane Watro (R-Luzerne/Schuylkill) and Senator Dave Argall (R-29) have announced that $500,000 in grants from the Pennsylvania Small Water and Sewer Program will be allocated to several municipalities in Schuylkill County.
