On Saturday, March 15, former Hazleton Area High School standout Johansel Brito’s current college team, the East Stroudsburg Warriors, won 5-2 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the SNHU Penmen.
The game took place at Creekview Park. This was their third matchup against the Penmen this season.
The Warriors’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 18 at 3 p.m. at Creekview Park against Queens Knights.

State Representative Dane Watro (R-Luzerne/Schuylkill) and Senator Dave Argall (R-29) have announced that $500,000 in grants from the Pennsylvania Small Water and Sewer Program will be allocated to several municipalities in Schuylkill County.
