On Saturday, April 12, former Holy Redeemer High School standout Hunter Austra’s current college team, the Canisius Golden Griffins, won 5-3 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Sacred Heart Pioneers.
The game took place at Veterans Park. This was their second matchup against the Pioneers this season.
The Golden Griffins’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, April 13 at 12 p.m. at Veterans Park against Sacred Heart Pioneers.

State Representative Dane Watro (R-Luzerne/Schuylkill) and Senator Dave Argall (R-29) have announced that $500,000 in grants from the Pennsylvania Small Water and Sewer Program will be allocated to several municipalities in Schuylkill County.
