Hazleton Area High School standout Makenna Balay’s college team lost in NCAA Division II softball game on Friday, April 18

On Friday, April 18, former Hazleton Area High School standout Makenna Balay’s current college team, the Kutztown Golden Bears, lost 9-1 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Bloomsburg Huskies.

The game took place at Jan M. Hutchinson Field. This was their fourth matchup against the Huskies this season.

The Golden Bears’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, April 19 at 11 a.m. at Lawrence Field against Lock Haven Bald Eagles.
