On Saturday, May 10, former Hazleton Area High School standout Gianna Gombeda’s current college team, the Bloomsburg Huskies, won 8-6 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Kutztown Golden Bears.
The game took place at North Campus Field. This was their fifth matchup against the Golden Bears this season.
The Huskies’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, May 11 at 10 a.m. at North Campus Field against Kutztown Golden Bears.
More than $1.6 million in state transportation funding will be distributed to four municipalities in Pike and Wayne counties, according to an announcement from Sen.
State Representative Dane Watro (R-Luzerne/Schuylkill) and Senator Dave Argall (R-29) have announced that $500,000 in grants from the Pennsylvania Small Water and Sewer Program will be allocated to several municipalities in Schuylkill County.
