On Tuesday, March 25, former Greater Nanticoke Area Senior High School standout Luke Myers’ current college team, the Albany Great Danes, lost 6-3 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the UMass Minutemen.
The game took place at Earl Lorden Field. This was their first matchup against the Minutemen this season.
The Great Danes’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 28 at 3 p.m. at Varsity Field against Binghamton Bearcats.

State Representative Dane Watro (R-Luzerne/Schuylkill) and Senator Dave Argall (R-29) have announced that $500,000 in grants from the Pennsylvania Small Water and Sewer Program will be allocated to several municipalities in Schuylkill County.
