On Sunday, March 16, former Greater Nanticoke Area Senior High School standout Alison Keener’s current college team, the Morgan State Bears, lost 7-6 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Delaware State Hornets.
The game took place at Lois T. Murray Field. This was their third matchup against the Hornets this season.
The Bears’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, March 19 at 1 p.m. at Lois T. Murray Field against Colgate Raiders.

State Representative Dane Watro (R-Luzerne/Schuylkill) and Senator Dave Argall (R-29) have announced that $500,000 in grants from the Pennsylvania Small Water and Sewer Program will be allocated to several municipalities in Schuylkill County.
