On Saturday, April 5, former Hazleton Area High School standout Grant Russo’s current college team, the St. John’s Red Storm, won 13-0 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Seton Hall Pirates.
The game took place at Jack Kaiser Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Pirates this season.
The Red Storm’s next game is scheduled for Sunday, April 6 at 12 p.m. at Jack Kaiser Stadium against Seton Hall Pirates.

State Representative Dane Watro (R-Luzerne/Schuylkill) and Senator Dave Argall (R-29) have announced that $500,000 in grants from the Pennsylvania Small Water and Sewer Program will be allocated to several municipalities in Schuylkill County.
