On Wednesday, April 30, former Hazleton Area High School standout Gianna Gombeda’s current college team, the Bloomsburg Huskies, won 11-1 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the California Vulcans.
The game took place at Veterans Park. This was their first matchup against the Vulcans this season.
The Huskies’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, April 30 at 3 p.m. at Veterans Park against Slippery Rock The Rock.
More than $1.6 million in state transportation funding will be distributed to four municipalities in Pike and Wayne counties, according to an announcement from Sen.
State Representative Dane Watro (R-Luzerne/Schuylkill) and Senator Dave Argall (R-29) have announced that $500,000 in grants from the Pennsylvania Small Water and Sewer Program will be allocated to several municipalities in Schuylkill County.
Senator Lisa Baker (R-20), along with Representatives Brenda Pugh (R-120) and Alec Ryncavage (R-119), announced that Luzerne County will receive over $2.5 million in state funding for infrastructure projects.
