On Friday, April 4, former Pittston Area Senior High School standout Joe Stella’s current college team, the Tampa Spartans, won 3-1 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Nova Southeastern Sharks.
The game took place at UT Baseball Field. This was their first matchup against the Sharks this season.
The Spartans’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, April 5 at 1 p.m. at UT Baseball Field against Nova Southeastern Sharks.
More than $1.6 million in state transportation funding will be distributed to four municipalities in Pike and Wayne counties, according to an announcement from Sen.
